The Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History has collected, preserved and displayed over 3 million social, political, cultural, scientific and military artifacts of the legacy of the United States’ people. Located on the National Mall, the museum has three exhibition floors housing wings of transportation and technology, science and innovation, American ideals, American lives, American wars and politics, entertainment, sports and music. Some of the items on display are the original Star-Spangled Banner, the John Bull locomotive, the 1865 Telescope, George Washington Statue and a Red Cross ambulance. Our most popular tour.
