The White House is made of Aquia sandstone painted white and built between 1792 and 1800 in the late Georgian style. Located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., it has been the executive residence of every U.S. President since John Adams. The White House has six stories: Ground, State, Second and Third Floor, in addition a two-story basement. The White House is part of the President's Park and the property is owned by the National Park Service.
